Waikato Applied Network Dynamics is a research group at the University of Waikato Computer Science Department focussing on network performance measurements.

Our efforts are primarily spent on passive Internet measurements. The group has developed a series of cards for accurate network monitoring, called the DAG. A growing number of measurement systems around the world is maintained. The Internet traces captured at these sites are stored at the WITS for later analysis. Some portion of our time is also devoted to simulations. Taupo is our main server, currently a dual-PIII/733 with 1GB of main memory and a 300GB disk array.

The group is also involved in NLANR's Active Measurement Project.

The results of our research get published on this server and as papers at conferences and in journals. In April 2000 we hosted the PAM2000 Passive & Active Measurement Workshop in Hamilton.
